FUNimation Entertainment to Simulcast the Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld and We Never Learn Season 2 Anime

FUNimation Entertainment has announced that it will simulcast the Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld and the second season of the We Never Learn: BOKUBEN anime in Fall 2019.

The simulcast for Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld will debut on October 12, 2019 for users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

The simulcast for We Never Learn: BOKUBEN Season 2 will debut on October, 2019 5 for users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

More cast members have been announced for the forthcoming anime adaptation of the We Never Learn manga:

  • Madoka Asahina is Asumi Kominami
  • Lynn is Mafuyu Kirisu

Yoshiaki Iwasaki is directing the anime at Studio Silver and Arvo Animation. Go Zappa is in charge of series composition. Masakatsu Sasaki is designing the characters. Masato Nakayama is composing the music.

We Never Learn is scheduled to premiere in Japan in April 2019.

VIZ Media Releases the High School Romantic Comedy Series We Never Learn

VIZ Media announces the release of the new romantic comedy We Never Learn on December 4, 2018.

We Never Learn is by creator Taishi Tsutsui and is currently serialized in the manga magazine, Weekly Shonen Jump. The series is rated “T+” for Older Teens and will now be published in print and digital editions under VIZ Media’s Shonen Jump imprint. We Never Learn will carry a print MSRP of $9.99 U.S. / $12.99 CAN. The series also launches digitally on December 4, 2018 for $6.99 via viz.com and the VIZ Manga App, as well as from the NOOK, Kobo, Kindle, iBooks, comiXology, and Google Play stores. Future volumes of We Never Learn will be published by VIZ Media bimonthly.

In We Never Learn, Nariyuki Yuiga comes from an impoverished family, so he’s eager to secure a full scholarship to college before he graduates high school. His principal agrees, with one stipulation—he must tutor the two smartest girls at school and make sure they get into their target colleges.

VIZ Media Announces New Publishing Acquisitions at Anime Boston 2018

VIZ Media announced newly acquired publishing titles during its official panel event held at Anime Boston 2018.

The latest new titles joining VIZ Media’s publishing catalog include Dragon Quest Illustrations: 30th Anniversary Edition, a deluxe hardcover collector’s edition featuring over 500 illustrations for the award-winning video game series from Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball. The Complete Art of Fullmetal Alchemist, which features all the art from the beloved manga series was also announced. The fun Dragon Ball spin-off, Dragon Ball: That Time I Got Reincarnated as Yamcha!, and the popular romantic comedy from Weekly Shonen Jump, We Never Learn, will make their publication debuts beginning in Fall 2018. Other notable Shonen Jump releases include the Bleach Box Set 3, the final box set for the long-running soul reaper series, and the dystopian adventure series Dr. Stone. The fan-favorite shojo romance, Ao Haru Rride, will debut in Fall 2018.

Exciting announcements from this past weekend also include Abara: Complete Deluxe Edition, a tense sci-fi horror series from Tsutomu Nihei, and Record of Grancrest War, a high-fantasy adventure by the author of Record of Lodoss War. VIZ Media’s Weekly Shonen Jump Adds Robot × Laserbeam and We Never Learn Manga

VIZ Media’s digital Weekly Shonen Jump magazine added Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s Robot × Laserbeam and Taishi Tsutsui’s We Never Learn manga as regular series beginning with this year’s 20th issue on April 17, 2017.

The two manga were among six new series VIZ Media previewed in February 2017 and March 2017 as part of its “Jump Start” initiative. In the initiative, VIZ Media’s digital Weekly Shonen Jump anthology publishes the first three chapters of a new manga simultaneously with the Japanese release. Based on reader feedback, the digital anthology sometimes adds the manga to its permanent lineup.

VIZ Media’s Weekly Shonen Jump also added Riichirou Inagaki and Boichi’s Dr. Stone manga from among the new titles. The other manga were Yūji Kimura’s U19, Hitsuji Kondaira’s Demon Prince Poro’s Diaries, and Ryūhei Tamura’s Hungry Marie.
