Toonami to Premiere the Dr. Stone Anime on August 24, 2019

Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block has announced that the Dr. Stone anime will premiere on Toonami on August 24, 2019 at 12:00 a.m. EDT (effectively August 25, 2019).

Toonami will have the following schedule on that day:

11:00 p.m. – Dragon Ball Super
11:30 p.m. – gen:LOCK
12:00 a.m. – Dr. Stone
12:30 a.m. – Fire Force
1:00 a.m. – Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma
1:30 a.m. – Black Clover
2:00 a.m. – Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
2:30 a.m. – Naruto Shippūden
3:00 a.m. – Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin
3:30 a.m. – Lupin the Third: Part 5
4:00 a.m. – My Hero Academia

Fire Force to Debut on Toonami on July 27, 2019

Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block has announced that the Fire Force (En En no Shōbōtai) anime will premiere on Toonami on July 27, 2019 at 12:00 a.m. EDT (effectively July 28, 2019).

The anime’s official website announced that the planned airing and streaming of the show’s third episode, which was planned to air late at night on July 20, 2019, has been halted. The website stated it will reveal more information about the future broadcast of the show at a later date. Jason DeMarco, senior vice-president and creative director for Adult Swim, said on Twitter, “we will deal with delays if and when we have to.”

FUNimation Entertainment is streaming the television anime on its FunimationNOW streaming service, and is also streaming an English dub. Crunchyroll is also streaming the series.

Fire Force premiered on July 5, 2019, and it is planned to have 24 episodes.

The official Facebook account for Adult Swim’s Toonami block has announced that it will be premiering the Food Wars! anime on July 6, 2019.

Toonami will have the following schedule on that day:

One Piece to Return to Adult Swim’s Toonami Block in Summer 2019

Funimation is proud to announce that Season 15 of One Piece has been licensed for broadcast and is set to premiere on Adult Swim’s “TOONAMI” block in Summer 2019. Look forward for more information regarding the premiere at a later date.

Series Synopsis:

Toonami to Start Airing Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin on July 6, 2019

The official Facebook account for Adult Swim’s Toonami block has announced that the block will start airing the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin anime on July 6, 2019 in the United States.

The anime project adapts Yoshikazu Yasuhiko’s manga of the same name, which in turn is inspired by the first Mobile Suit Gundam anime’s story. Yasuhiko designed the characters in the first Gundam anime, and he served as the chief director and storyboarder for the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin anime. Yasuhiko revealed in 2018 that Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin is his last anime.

Toonami Block to Shift to Half Hour Earlier on May 25, 2019

The official Facebook account for Adult Swim’s Toonami block has announced that the block’s schedule will begin at 10:30 p.m., starting on May 25, 2019. It will have the following schedule on that day:

10:30 p.m. – My Hero Academia
11:00 p.m. – Dragon Ball Super
11:30 p.m. – Attack on Titan
12:00 a.m. – The Promised Neverland
12:30 a.m. – Sword Art Online: Alicization
1:00 a.m. – JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable
1:30 a.m. – Black Clover
2:00 a.m. – Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
2:30 a.m. – Naruto Shippūden
3:00 a.m. – Hunter x Hunter

The block will premiere the second part of the Attack on Titan Season 3 television anime on May 25, 2019. It will then premiere Lupin the Third: Part 5 on June 15, 2019.

Reruns of earlier Attack on Titan episodes will leave the current lineup on May 25, 2019.

Toonami to Premiere the Lupin the Third: Part 5 Anime on June 15, 2019

The official Facebook page for Adult Swim’s Toonami block has announced that the block will premiere the Lupin the Third: Part 5 anime on June 15, 2019.

The anime premiered on Japanese television in April 2018. Crunchyroll simulcast the series in Japanese with English subtitles as it aired in Japan. TMS Entertainment USA offered the series’ first 12 episodes for digital purchase in the U.S. on iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon Digital in November 2018.
