FUNimation Entertainment to Simulcast The Honor Student at Magic High School Anime

FUNimation Entertainment has announced that it will simulcast The Honor Student at Magic High School (Mahōka Kōkō no Yūtōsei: The honour at magic high school) anime in partnership with Aniplex of America for the Summer 2021 anime season.

Hideki Tachibana is directing the anime at studio CONNECT. Takashi Watanabe is the assistant director. Tsuyoshi Tamai is writing and overseeing the series scripts, and Ryōsuke Yamamoto and Takao Sano are adapting Kana Ishida’s designs for animation. Taku Iwasaki is returning from the previous works in the franchise to compose the music.

The Honor Student at Magic High School is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television on July 3, 2021.

The AnimeJapan 2021 panel for The Irregular at Magic High School franchise has revealed that the television anime adaptation of Yu Mori’s The Honor Student at Magic High School (Mahōka Kōkō no Yūtōsei: The honour at magic high school) spin-off manga is scheduled to premiere in Japan in July 2021.

The Honor Student at Magic High School Spin-off Manga to End in June 2020

The July 2020 issue of Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine has announced that Yu Mori’s The Honor Student at Magic High School spin-off manga will end in the magazine’s next issue on June 27, 2020.

The manga is described as:

A century has passed since magic – real, true magic, the stuff of legends – has returned to the world. It is spring – the season of new beginnings – and a new class of students is about to begin their studies at the National Magic Academy’s First High School, nickname: Magic High.

Mori launched the manga spin-off of Tsutomu Satou’s The Irregular at Magic High School light novel series in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh in 2012. Yen Press publishes the manga in English.
