Crunchyroll Announces More Simulcasts for Summer 2017

Crunchyroll has announced five more simulcasts for the Summer 2017 season:

  • Gamers! – The simulcast will begin on July 13, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. EDT, and will be available worldwide outside of Asia.
  • The Irresponsible Galaxy Tylor – The simulcast began on July 12, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. EDT. The series is streaming worldwide outside of Asia.
  • Nora, Princess, and Stray Cat – The simulcast began on July 12, 2017 at 11:15 a.m. EDT, and is available worldwide outside of Asia.
  • Ikémen Sengoku: Bromances Across Time – The simulcast began on July 12, 2017 at 10:45 a.m. EDT, and is available in North America, Central America, and South America.
  • Teekyū’ Season 9 – The simulcast began on July 12, 2017 at 11:45 a.m. EDT, and is available worldwide outside of Asia.

Teekyū Anime Renewed for Season 9

The official website for the television anime of Piyo and Roots’ Teekyū manga has announced that the anime will get a ninth season in Summer 2017. The returning main cast includes:

  • Yui Watanabe is Yuri Oshimoto
  • Suzuko Mimori is Kanae Shinjō
  • Kyōko Narumi is Nasuno Takamiya
  • Kana Hanazawa is Marimo Bandō

Shin Itagaki is once again directing, writing, storyboarding, and designing the characters for the upcoming season at Millepensee.

The Teekyū Anime Is Renewed for a Sixth Season

The official website for the Teekyū anime series has announced that the anime has been renewed for a sixth season. The site also revealed that the new season will premiere in Japan in October 2015.

The cast will be returning for the new season and will perform the theme song, “Earth Star Dream.” The CD single for the song is scheduled to be released in Japan in November 2015.

Piyo and Roots launched the original Teekyū manga in Comic Earth Star in early 2012, and the first anime season was announced just months later on the manga’s first book volume.

Release Date for the Fourth Season on Teekyu and Its Spin-Off Anime Announced

The official website for the upcoming fourth TV anime adaptation of the Teekyu manga series and its spin-off series Takamiya Nasuno Desu! has announced that both shows will premiere in Japan on April 6, 2015. The fourth season of Teekyu will premiere on Tokyo MX at 25:05, then Takamiya Nasuno Desu! will follow three minutes later at 25:08.

Millepensee is producing the forth season of Teekyu instead of MAPPA, but Shin Itagaki returns as director. All four of the main voice cast also reprise their roles.
