Bartender Series Overview

Shout! Factory and Anime Limited License the Bartender Anime for North America

Shout! Factory and Anime Limited have announced that the companies have acquired the North American license for the Bartender anime. The anime will launch digitally “across major entertainment platforms” and as a 15th Anniversary Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Disc set in 2021.

Anime Limited outlined the contents of its U.K. release of the 15th Anniversary Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Disc set at its Cloud Matsuri panel on May 30, 2020. The set will include the entire anime series, nine cocktail recipe cards (as the original Japanese release did), and a set of four drink coasters.

The 11-episode television anime premiered in Japan in October 2006. Masaki Watanabe directed the series at Palm Studio. Yasuhiro Imagawa wrote the scripts and was in charge of series composition. Hirotaka Kinoshita designed the characters. Kaoruko Ohtake composed the music.

Shout! Factory to Release Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna Anime Film on Blu-ray Disc/DVD in October 2020

Shout! Factory and Toei Animation have announced that they will release the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna anime film digitally and on home video in Fall 2020. Toei Animation will release the film digitally on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft, and Sony PlayStation Network on September 29, 2020. Shout! Factory will then ship the anime on DVD and Blu-ray Disc combo pack on October 6, 2020. Both releases with include both English subtitles and an English dub.

Studio Ghibli Steelbooks for My Neighbor Totoro and Princess Mononoke Out October 20, 2020 from GKIDS and Shout! Factory

Studio Ghibli and GKIDS, with distribution by Shout! Factory, will release My Neighbor Totoro and Princess Mononoke, from the Studio Ghibli library of films, on October 20, 2020 in limited edition SteelBook packaging with striking new art. Each SteelBook will house a Blu-ray and DVD combo pack, presenting the film alongside hours of bonus features and a booklet with stunning art and statements from the filmmakers.

Eleven Arts and Shout! Factory to Release The Wonderland Anime Film on Home Video in October 2020

Eleven Arts and Shout! Factory have announced that they will release Keiichi Hara’s The Wonderland (Birthday Wonderland) anime film on Blu-ray Disc, DVD, and for digital purchase on October 6, 2020 in North America.

Eleven Arts screened the film in theaters in the United States and Canada on January 31, 2020.

The Wonderland opened in Japan in April 2019 and screened in competition at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June 2019. Fantasia Festival in Montreal, Canada also screened the film in July 2019. Crunchyroll Expo hosted the U.S. premiere of the film on August 30, 2019. The Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival in Spain screened the film in October 2019.

Children of the Sea to Be Available on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD on September 1, 2020

From Japan’s STUDIO4°C and director Ayumu Watanabe comes Children of the Sea, a stunningly beautiful adaptation of the prize-winning manga. Shout! Factory and Anime Limited Partner to Release the B: The Beginning Anime

Shout! Factory and Anime Limited have announced that the companies will be partnering with each other to release the B: The Beginning anime in North America later in 2020, with plans for a Blu-ray Disc release and an EST (electronic sell through) release.

Anime Limited had announced during its Cloud Matsuri panel on May 30, 2020 that it will be releasing a Blu-ray Ultimate Edition of the B: The Beginning anime in the United States as well as the United Kingdom. The company had announced the home release of B: The Beginning in October 2019.

Sound! Euphonium: The Movie – Our Promise: A Brand New Day will be released on digital download and On Demand on May 19, 2020 and on Blu-ray™ + DVD combo pack on June 6, 2020 from Eleven Arts and Shout!
