Saiyuki Reload Blast Manga to Resume After 18 Month Hiatus

The May 2019 issue of Ichijinsha’s Comic Zero Sum magazine has announced that Kazuya Minekura’s Saiyuki Reload Blast manga will resume in the July 2019 issue on May 28, 2019. The manga went on hiatus in the magazine in the December 2017 issue.

Saiyuki Reload Blast is the sequel to Minekura’s Saiyuki and Saiyuki Reload manga series. She launched the series in Comic Zero Sum in 2009 but slowed down her publication of the manga in 2013 due to her health. The manga’s third compiled book volume, the series’ first in three years, shipped in October 2017.

FUNimation Announces Premiere Dates for Some of Its Simuldub Titles

FUNimation Entertainment has announced the premiere dates for the following simuldubs:

  • Saiyuki Reload Blast – premieres July 24, 2017 and streams Mondays at 4:00 p.m. EDT
  • A Centaur’s Life – premieres July 24, 2017 and streams Mondays at 4:00 p.m. EDT
  • Classroom of the Elite – premieres July 29, 2017 and streams Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. EDT
  • Knight’s & Magic – premieres July 30, 2017 and streams Sundays at 4:00 p.m. EDT
  • Hina Logic – from Luck & Logic – premieres July 30, 2017 and streams Sundays at 4:00 p.m. EDT

The company also announced that it will launch the first six episodes of the English dub of New Game!‘s first season on July 14, 2017 and episodes 7-12 on July 28, 2017. The premiere date and time for the simuldub of the second season has not yet been announced.

It was previously reported that Restaurant to Another World will premiere on July 19, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. EDT and stream on Wednesdays. English dubs for 18if and Lupin III: Part IV is already streaming weekly at Fridays at 10:00 a.m. EDT and Sundays at 4:00 p.m. EDT, respectively.

FUNimation has not yet announced simuldub premiere dates or times for My First Girlfriend is a Gal, Gamers!, or Convenience Store Boy Friends.

Crunchyroll Begins Announcing Titles for the Summer 2017 Simulcast Season

Crunchyroll has started announcing the anime titles that it will be streaming for the Summer 2017 simulcast season:

  • A Centaur’s Life will launching worldwide outside of Asia on July 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. EDT
  • Classroom of the Elite will launch worldwide outside of Asia on July 12, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. EDT
  • Restaurant to Another Worl will launch worldwide outside of Asia on July 3, 2017 at 2:05 p.m. EDT
  • Saiyuki Reload Blast will premiere worldwide outside of Asia on July 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. EDT

Two more cast members have been announced for the forthcoming anime adaptation of the Saiyuki Reload Blast manga:

  • Yuuki Kaji is Tamuro
  • Haruhi Nanao is Rei

Platinum Vision is animating the project. Hideaki Nakano is directing the anime, with Kenji Konuta supervising the scripts. Youko Satou is handling the character designs. GRANRODEO is performing the opening theme song “move on! Ibara Michi” (move on! Thorny Road), and Luck Life is performing the ending theme song “Refrain.”

Saiyuki Reload Blast is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television on July 5, 2017.
