Digital Media Rights has announced that it has licensed 11 new anime titles for its RetroCrush streaming service. The company also announced the release dates for the anime titles that will stream on its RetroCrush streaming service in October 2020.

The titles will launch on consecutive Fridays in October 2020:

  • Allison & Lillia anime – October 2, 2020
  • The Galaxy Railways: A Letter from the Abandoned Planet original video anime (OVA) – October 9, 2020
  • Great Conquest: The Romance of Three Kingdoms anime film – October 9, 2020
  • Saint Seiya: Evil Goddess Eris anime film – October 16, 2020
  • Saint Seiya: The Heated Battle of the Gods anime film – October 16, 2020
  • Saint Seiya: Legend of Crimson Youth anime film – October 16, 2020
  • Saint Seiya: Warriors of the Final Holy Battle anime film – October 16, 2020
  • Champion Joe: The Movie anime film – October 23, 2020
  • Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture anime film – October 23, 2020
  • Requiem from the Darkness anime – October 30, 2020
  • Ringing Bell anime film – October 30, 2020

The Allison & Lillia anime, The Galaxy Railways: A Letter from the Abandoned Planet OVA, and the Saint Seiya anime films will stream in Japanese with English subtitles. The Requiem from the Darkness anime will stream in English. The Great Conquest: The Romance of Three Kingdoms, Champion Joe: The Movie, Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture, and Ringing Bell anime films will stream in Japanese with English subtitles and with an English dub.

The company lists that Allison & Lillia, Champion Joe: The Movie, Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture, and the Saint Seiya films are exclusive licenses.

The Kite original video anime (OVA) will stream in English on the service. The Lupin III: Part II anime will stream in both Japanese with English subtitles and with an English dub. The other four anime will stream in Japanese with English subtitles.

RetroCrush Is Now Streaming the Itazura na Kiss Anime

The Fandom Post is reporting that RetroCrush is now streaming the Itazura na Kiss anime. The 25 episodes of the series are available with Japanese audio with English subtitles.

Itazura na Kiss originally aired in 2008 in Japan. It was directed by Osamu Yamasaki with character designs by Maki Fujioka. Discotek Media brought the show out on DVD in 2019.

RetroCrush Also Launches as a Linear Streaming Service

Digital Media Rights (DMR) has announced that it has launched a free ad-supported television (FAST) version of its RetroCrush streaming service. In addition to RetroCrush, the company launched its Midnight Pulp and Cinehouse channels in the FAST format on the STIRR streaming service.

The RetroCrush channel on STIRR is currently streaming the Memories, Appleseed, and Lupin III: The Legend of the Gold of Babylon anime films.

Jungle Emperor Leo Special Gets New English Dub

Digital Sound Magic has announced on Twitter that it has produced an English dub for the Jungle Emperor: The Brave Can Change The Future anime special. The special is available on the RetroCrush streaming service. Karilynne Davis directed the English dub.

Jungle Emperor: The Brave Can Change The Future debuted in Japan in 2009. The project marked both the 50th anniversary of the Fuji TV network and the 80th anniversary of Tezuka’s birth.

The new acquisitions include One-Million Year Trip: Bander Book, Bagi, the Monster of Mighty Nature, Ambassador Magma, Hakugei: Legend of the Moby Dick, Voltes V, Shin Getter Robo, ItaKiss, Project A-Ko 2: Plot of the Daitokuji Financial Group, Project A-ko 3: Cinderella Rhapsody, and Project A-Ko 4: Final.

The company also announced the release dates for the anime titles that will stream on its RetroCrush streaming service in July 2020.

Digital Media Rights has announced that it has partnered with Tezuka Productions to release nine anime titles on its service starting on June 5, 2020. Black Jack and A Time Slip of 10000 Years: Prime Rose will launch on June 5, 2020, and the remaining titles will premiere from June 2020 to August 2020. RetroCrush has obtained the SVOD (subscription video on demand), TVOD (transactional VOD), AVOD (advertising-based VOD), and digital linear rights to these anime for the United States and Canada.
