Crunchyroll to Simulcast the Radiant Season 2 and Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun Anime

Crunchyroll announced during its panel at its own Crunchyroll Expo that it will simulcast the second season of the Radiant television anime and the Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun anime.

The second season of Radiant is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television on October 2, 2019. Like the first series, the second series will have 21 episodes.

Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television on October 5, 2019. The series will have 23 episodes.

FUNimation Entertainment Announces Fall 2018 Simuldub Premiere Dates

FUNimation Entertainment has announced the premiere dates for its English-language simuldubs of the Fall 2018 anime season. The premiere dates are (all times at 4:00 p.m. EDT unless otherwise specified):

The dub premiere dates for Double Decker! Doug & Kirll and SSSS.Gridman are the same as their respective broadcast premiere dates in Japan. In the case of Tokyo Ghoul:re, there will be only a week’s delay between the subtitled version and the dubbed version.

The company also noted that it will have more simuldub titles to announce.

In addition, FUNimation will stream English-subtitled simulcasts of Fairy Tail and Tokyo Ghoul:re, beginning on October 6, 2018 and October 9, 2018, respectively. The company is also continuing its simuldub of Black Clover and its simulcast of One Piece.

FUNimation Entertainment has announced that it will stream English dubs for the following series as part of its Fall 2018 simuldub season:

VIZ Media Releases the Radiant Manga Series

VIZ Media announces the release of the new manga series Radiant on September 11, 2018.

Radiant is a supernatural action and adventure series created by French-born artist and writer Tony Valente. A Japanese-produced anime adaptation of Valente’s manga will premiere in Fall 2018. Radiant is rated “T” for Teens and will be published in print with an MSRP of $9.99 U.S. / $12.99 CAN. The series also launches digitally on September 11, 2018 via and the VIZ Manga App, and will be available from the NOOK, Kobo, Kindle, iBooks, comiXology, and Google Play stores. Volume 1 features 8 full-color pages. Future volumes of Radiant will be published by VIZ Media on a bimonthly basis.

In Radiant, evil creatures called Nemeses fall from the skies and the only ones who can fight them are Wizards—infected ones who survived a Nemesis’s corruption. Seth, one of these survivors, vows not only to fight the Nemeses, but to find their mythical nest, Radiant, and destroy it.

Radiant creator Tony Valente began working as a comic artist with the series The Four Princes of Ganahan written by Raphael Drommelschlager. He then launched his own three-volume project, Hana Attori, after which he produced S.P.E.E.D. Angels, a series written by Didier Tarquin and colored by Pop.

VIZ Media Announces New Publishing Acquisitions at Anime Boston 2018

VIZ Media announced newly acquired publishing titles during its official panel event held at Anime Boston 2018.

The latest new titles joining VIZ Media’s publishing catalog include Dragon Quest Illustrations: 30th Anniversary Edition, a deluxe hardcover collector’s edition featuring over 500 illustrations for the award-winning video game series from Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball. The Complete Art of Fullmetal Alchemist, which features all the art from the beloved manga series was also announced. The fun Dragon Ball spin-off, Dragon Ball: That Time I Got Reincarnated as Yamcha!, and the popular romantic comedy from Weekly Shonen Jump, We Never Learn, will make their publication debuts beginning in Fall 2018. Other notable Shonen Jump releases include the Bleach Box Set 3, the final box set for the long-running soul reaper series, and the dystopian adventure series Dr. Stone. The fan-favorite shojo romance, Ao Haru Rride, will debut in Fall 2018.

Exciting announcements from this past weekend also include Abara: Complete Deluxe Edition, a tense sci-fi horror series from Tsutomu Nihei, and Record of Grancrest War, a high-fantasy adventure by the author of Record of Lodoss War.
