FUNimation Entertainment’s Announcements for the Summer 2021 Anime Season

FUNimation Entertainment has announced during its Summer Season Preview event that it will stream the following anime in Summer 2021:

  • The Case Study of Vanitas
  • Sonny Boy (first episode premiered early on June 18, 2021)
  • Scarlet Nexus (first episode premiered early on June 18, 20212)
  • RE-MAIN
  • How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom
  • Robotech (FUNimation had previously announced a Fall 2021 release for streaming)

FUNimation will stream the following films:

  • The Stranger by the Shore
  • Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train
  • Natsume Yūjin-Chō: Ishi Okoshi to Ayashiki Raihōsha

FUNimation will also continue to stream the following anime

  • That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Part 2
  • One Piece
  • My Hero Academia Season 5
  • Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation

The company will announce more anime at a future date.

FUNimation Entertainment to Simulcast the Second Part of the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Anime in Fall 2021

FUNimation Entertainment has announced that it will simulcast the sequel (second cour or second quarter of a year) of the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime series in Fall 2021. The anime’s “Part 2” will premiere in October 2021 after a delay from a planned July 2021 premiere due to “various circumstances.”

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation premiered on Japanese television on January 11, 2021. FUNimation Entertainment simulcast the series in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Mexico, and Brazil.

The official website for the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime series has announced that the anime’s sequel (its second cour) will premiere in October 2021 after a delay from a planned July 2021 premiere due to “various circumstances.” The anime’s first cour will rebroadcast starting in July 2021.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Anime to Get a Second Season

The 11th episode of the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime ended on March 21, 2021 with the confirmation of a “Part 2” or second cours for the anime. The announcement did not reveal a premiere date for the second part. FUNimation Entertainment, who simulcasts the anime, also confirmed the Part 2 announcement.

Manabu Okamoto directed the series at Studio Bind. EGG FIRM is also credited for production. Kazutaka Sugiyama designed the characters. Yuiko Ōhara produced, wrote, scored, and sang both the opening theme song and the ending theme song.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation premiered on Japanese television on January 11, 2021.

FUNimation Entertainment began streaming the English dub of the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime series on February 14, 2021.

The story of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is described as:

The story follows a 34-year-old man who is killed after trying to save someone from getting hit by a car. He soon finds himself reincarnated in a magical world as Rudeus Greyrat, except that he gets his whole life reset, starting as a baby.

With all of his knowledge from his previous life, and a new heaping helping of magical ability, Rudeus quickly becomes a formidable warrior ready for adventure. Oh, and he’s still a total pervert.

  • Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – January 10, 2021
  • Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table – January 13, 2021
  • Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: Battle of Kimluck – January 20, 2021

The company will announce information on the simuldubs for Attack on Titan The Final Season, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, and the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime’s second season at a later date.

Seven Seas Entertainment has announced that the company has acquired four new manga licenses:

  • Akuma no Riddle: Riddle Story of Devil by Yun Kouga and Sunao Minakata: This title is scheduled to be released in October 2015.
  • Golden Time by Umechazuke: This title is scheduled to be released in October 2015.
  • Merman in My Tub by Itokichi: This title is scheduled to be released in October 2015.
  • Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation by Yuka Fujikawa: This title is scheduled to be released in November 2015.
