Sentai Filmworks Announces New Anime Licenses

Sentai Filmworks announced at its panel at Anime Expo that it has licensed the Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul, Food Wars! The Third Plate, Kase-san and Morning Glories, and Delinquent Hamsters anime.

The company will debut Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul (Gekijōban Made in Abyss: Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei), the new anime film in the franchise, in 2020.

Sentai Filmworks teased that it will release Food Wars! The Third Plate, the third season of the Food Wars! anime, on home video. The company is producing an English dub for the anime.

Sentai will release an English dub for Kase-san and Morning Glories, the original video anime adaptation of Hiromi Takashima’s Kase-san and… (Asagao to Kase-san.) yuri manga. The distributor will release the anime in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal.

Sentai Filmworks will release an English dub for the Deliqnuent Hamsters (Yankee Hamsters) short anime series.

Voice Actresses from The Promised Neverland and Made in Abyss to Appear at Anime Expo

The official website for Anime Expo has announced that The Promised Neverland anime’s director Mamoru Kanbe and voice actresses Sumire Morohoshi, Maaya Uchida, and Mariya Ise will attend the convention as guests. They will participate in a panel alongside English dub voice actresses Erica Mendez, Jeannie Tirado, and Laura Stahl.

Sentai Filmworks has also announced that it will host a “Voices of the Abyss: Meet the Made in Abyss Seiyuus” panel at Anime Expo, and will host voice actresses Miyu Tomita (Riko), Mariya Ise (Reg), and Shiori Izawa (Nanachi) as guests at the panel. The voice actresses’ appearances at the event will include fan interactions, autograph signings, and a behind-the-scenes look at their performances in the Made in Abyss anime franchise.

Anime Expo will be taking place July 4-7, 2019 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Second Made in Abyss Compilation Film Opens in the United States on May 27, 2019

Sentai Filmworks has announced that it will screen Made in Abyss: Wandering Twilight (Made in Abyss: Hōrō Suru Tasogare), the second Made in Abyss compilation anime film, in theaters in the United States beginning on May 27, 2019. Bonus features with the screening will include behind-the-scenes content and interviews.

Anime Central will host the U.S. premiere of the film at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare and Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois on May 17, 2019. The premiere will include a red-carpet event, and director Masayuki Kojima, music producer Hiromitsu Iijina, and composer Kevin Penkin will attend a Q&A session.

Anime Central Hosts the U.S. Premiere of the Second Made in Abyss Compilation Film

Sentai Filmworks has announced that its release of Made in Abyss: Wandering Twilight (Made in Abyss: Hōrō Suru Tasogare), the second Made in Abyss compilation anime film, will premiere at this year’s Anime Central event on May 17, 2019 at 8:30 p.m. The premiere will include a red carpet event, and director Masayuki Kojima, music producer Hiromitsu Iijina, and composer Kevin Penkin will attend a Q&A session.

Anime Central 2019 will take place from May 17-19, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare and Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.

The First Made in Abyss Compilation Anime Film to Screen in U.S. Theaters on March 20 and 25, 2019

Sentai Filmworks and Kadokawa Pictures have announced that Made in Abyss: Journey’s Dawn (Made in Abyss: Tabidachi no Yoake), the first Made in Abyss compilation anime film, will screen in theaters in the United States on March 20 and 25, 2019. The screening on March 20, 2019 will feature Japanese audio with English subtitles, and the screening on March 25, 2019 will have the English dub.

The screenings will be a partnership with Fathom Events, and tickets are available for purchase now. The screenings will include “behind-the-scenes footage, Japanese created spots and a reflection on how Made in Abyss mirrors fairytales.”

LIVE) in Los Angeles on March 15, 2019. The company will host a red-carpet event at the premiere with guests such as director Masayuki Kojima, composer Kevin Penkin, music producer Hiromitsu Iijima, and producer Shinpei Yamashita.

Sentai Filmworks will screen both compilation films in theaters in the United States in 2019.

Sentai Filmworks Licenses the Made in Abyss and Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Anime Films

Sentai Filmworks announced at Anime NYC that it has licensed the Made in Abyss compilation films and the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of Orion! (Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka: Arrow of the Orion) film. The company will release all three films in U.S. theaters in 2019.

The first Made in Abyss film, Made in Abyss: Tabidachi no Yoake (Journey’s Dawn), will open in Japan on January 4, 2019, followed by the second film, Made in Abyss: Hōrō Suru Tasogare (Wandering Twilight), on January 18, 2019.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of Orion! will open in at least seven theaters in Japan, including three in Tokyo, on February 15, 2019.
