Kia Asamiya to Launch a New Manga Series in March 2019

Manga creator Kia Asamiya announced on his Twitter account that he will launch a new manga titled Speope!! (Space Opera!!) in the May 2019 issue of Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine on March 30, 2019.

The manga centers on the protagonist Opera Cat Rune and the protagonist’s machine, the “Fragile,” as they travel through space. At the same time, Kamon the Robot contemplates where it is from, where it is headed, and what it will become.

Asamiya’s other works include Silent Möbius, Steam Detectives, Compiler, and Junk: Record of the Last Hero.

Silent Möbius QD Manga to End in June 2018

This year’s sixth issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine has announced that Kia Asamiya’s Silent Möbius QD (Quadriga) manga will end in the next issue on June 20, 2018.

The story is set 17 years after Asamiya’s original paranormal police manga Silent Möbius, which debuted in 1988.

Asamiya launched Silent Möbius QD in August 2013 and Kodansha published the fourth compiled volume on April 20, 2018.

FanimeCon Announces Manga Artist Kia Asamiya as Guest

FanimeCon has announced that manga artist Kia Asamiya will be a guest at their upcoming convention. His work includes Corrector Yui, Mobius Klein, Junk – Record of Last Hero, and the manga adaptation of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

FanimeCon is taking place May 25-28, 2012 in San Jose, California.
