Crunchyroll to Stream a Sneak Peek Video of Jujutsu Kaisen Anime’s Third Episode for 24 Hours

Crunchyroll has announced that it will begin streaming a sneak peek video of the third episode of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime on its Crunchyroll Collections YouTube channel on October 11, 2020 at 5:00 a.m. EDT. The sneak peek video will be available on the channel for 24 hours. Crunchyroll noted that this sneak peek will be a preview and will not be the entire third episode.

The sneak peek will debut after the clip premieres at Jump Special Anime Festa in Japan.

Jujutsu Kaisen premiered on Japanese television on October 2, 2020. Crunchyroll is simulcasting the anime.

Crunchyroll has announced that it will simulcast the Jujutsu Kaisen anime in October 2020. The anime will be available worldwide outside of Asia.

Sunghoo Park is directing the anime at MAPPA. Hiroshi Seko is writing and supervising the scripts. Tadashi Hiramatsu is designing the characters. Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Terui, and Arisa Okehazama are composing the music.

VIZ Media Expands Its Manga Catalog With Four New Titles

VIZ Media announced a variety of new publishing acquisitions planned for Fall 2019 and Winter 2019-2020 release during the company’s panel event at Seattle’s Emerald City ComicCon.

The latest titles to join VIZ Media’s manga catalog include The Drifting Classroom: Perfect Edition, an all-new deluxe edition of the horror classic. Also announced was An Incurable Case of Love, a mature romantic comedy from the creator of Happy Marriage?!, Maki Enjoji, and A Tropical Fish Years for Snow, a coming-of-age series about a romance that blossoms between a pair of high school girls. Lastly, Jujutsy Kaisen delivers a world of demons and supernatural action from Shonen Jump.

Andy Nakani, Editor in Chief of VIZ Media’s Weekly Shonen Jump, has announced that the new English Shonen Jump service is adding the following Weekly Shonen Jump titles for simultaneous publication with Japan:

  • Haikyu!!
  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
  • Chainsaw Man
  • ne0;lation
  • Gokutei Higuma (tentative title)
  • act-age
  • Jujutsu Kaisen!!

In addition, Nakani confirmed that the company will continue to simultaneously publish all of the series that it is currently serializing from Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, Jump SQ., and V Jump, bringing its total number of simultaneously published series to 25.

Nakani also announced that new chapters of Weekly Shonen Jump manga will debut at 3:00 p.m. EST on Sundays, 22 hours earlier than the digital English edition of the magazine’s current release time on Mondays. Issues normally debut on Mondays Japan time, which is still Sunday on North American time. (The combined fourth and fifth issue will debut on a Saturday in Japan, so VIZ Media will release the chapters on Friday, December 21, 2018.)

The final issue of the digital magazine debuted on December 10, 2018.

VIZ Media’s Weekly Shonen Jump to Preview the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga

VIZ Media’s digital English edition of Weekly Shonen Jump has announced that it will publish “another round of Jump Starts” starting with Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen on March 5, 2018. The manga will launch on the same day in Shueisha’s Japanese edition.

For its “Jump Start” initiative, VIZ Media’s Weekly Shonen Jump publishes the first three chapters of a new manga simultaneously with the Japanese release.
