SCRAP Entertainment and VIZ Media Debut the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Real Escape Game for the U.S.

SCRAP Entertainment, the leading pioneer of live escape entertainment, and VIZ Media have partnered to bring a Real Escape Game set in the world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure to the United States. The chance for fans to immerse themselves in the JoJo’s Bizarre Escape: The Hotel live experience hits the United States at FanimeCon (San Jose, California, May 25-28, 2018) and Anime Expo (Los Angeles, California, July 4-8, 2018).

Based on author Hirohiko Araki’s Shonen Jump manga series, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure follows the multigenerational tale of the heroic Joestar family and their never-ending battle against evil. In JoJo’s Bizarre Escape: The Hotel, fans will play the role of one of the five people (and one dog) on protagonist Jotaro’s team, travelling to defeat their arch nemesis, Dio. Trapped in a labyrinthine hotel, players must examine clues and solve a gauntlet of puzzles by utilizing their special abilities in order to defeat the mastermind. The spotlight of this event will be the brand new original character developed exclusively for this game, officially approved by Hirohiko Araki himself. Fans will also have a chance to get their hands on exclusive merchandise only available to individuals attending the event.

VIZ Media Announces Home Media Release of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Season 1

VIZ Media delivers kinetic action and adventure to anime fans with the home media release of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Season 1.

The new release presents the entire 26-episode opening season of the series inspired by the groundbreaking manga created by Hirohiko Araki. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Season 1 encompasses the complete Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency story arcs. Season 1 is available to audiences as a Limited Edition Blu-ray Set and carries an MSRP of $69.99 U.S. / $81.99 CAN.

Online anime retailer The Right Stuf is offering the set along with a “Word Effects” print, deep-purple cotton bandana as a special gift with purchase. Available while supplies last.

The opening season of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is set in late 19th century England, where rivals and surrogate brothers Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando discover a mysterious stone mask. The mask is an artifact of an ancient Central American culture and is capable of granting its wearer eternal life, but only at a heavy price. As the dark powers of the Stone Mask are unleashed, the brothers’ actions will define legacies that span generations.

Toonami Announces Upcoming Anime Premieres

Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block has announced that it will premiere the Dragon Ball Z Kai “Buu Saga” on July 8, 2017, the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders anime on July 29, 2017, and the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans in October 2017.

Dragon Ball Z Kai “Buu Saga” will air at 12:00 a.m.

VIZ Media Announces Preorders for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Season 1 Limited Edition Blu-ray Set

VIZ Media has announced preorders for the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Season 1 Limited Edition Blu-ray Set.

The set is scheduled for retail release on July 25, 2017 and features the entire first season, Episodes 1-26, of the acclaimed multi-generational fantasy action series. VIZ Media to Showcase Netflix’s Live-Action Adaptation of Death Note at Licensing Expo 2017

VIZ Media will be featuring top titles from its broad catalog at the upcoming Licensing Expo 2017. This year, the top highlighted property for merchandising opportunities will be the live-action feature film Death Note, streaming globally Summer 2017 on Netflix. VIZ Media will be located in Booth #J236.

VIZ Media publishes the Death Note manga and anime the film is based on. Both have been continual bestsellers since their debut in the mid 2000’s, captivating millions of fans around the world. The Death Note film will debut globally on August 25, 2017, exclusively on Netflix, and the adaptation is directed by Adam Wingard, starring Nat Wolff, Lakeith Stanfield and Margaret Qualley.

VIZ Media Announces the Release of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 3 – Stardust Crusaders

VIZ Media announces a new addition to the acclaimed JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure saga with the release of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 3 – Stardust Crusaders on November 1, 2016.

Created by Hirohiko Araki, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a groundbreaking manga series famous for its outlandish characters, wild humor and frenetic battles. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 3 – Stardust Crusaders is the third story arc in the overall series and will be published in a deluxe, hardcover edition under the Shonen Jump imprint and is rated “T+” for Older Teens. Volume 1 will carry a print MSRP of $19.99 U.S. / $22.99 CAN.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 3 – Stardust Crusaders will also be available digitally from VIZ.com and the VIZ Manga App, as well as from the NOOK, Kobo, Kindle, iBooks, comiXology, and Google Play stores. Future volumes of the series will be published on a quarterly basis.
