VIZ Media’s Weekly Shonen Jump to Preview the Teenage Renaissance! David and I’m From Japan Manga

VIZ Media’s digital English edition of Weekly Shonen Jump has confirmed that it will preview Yūshin Kuroki’s Teenage Renaissance! David (Shishunki Renaissance! David-kun) and Seiji Hayashi’s I’m From Japan (Jimoto ga Japan) manga in English in its next issue on September 17, 2019. Both gag manga will debut in Japan on September 15, 2018. Japan’s Weekly Shonen Jump will ship on Saturday instead of Monday, as September 17 is a holiday.

Teenage Renaissance! David is about a “typical Japanese high school student” who looks exactly like Michelangelo’s David statue.

The “locality gag” manga I’m From Japan will “overflow with love for hometowns.”

For its “Jump Start” initiative, VIZ Media’s Weekly Shonen Jump publishes the first three chapters of a new manga simultaneously with the Japanese release.
