VIZ Media Announces the Release of Fullmetal Alchemist: The Complete Four-Panel Comics

VIZ Media announces a new addition to one of manga’s greatest series with the release of Fullmetal Alchemist: The Complete Four-Panel Comics on March 12, 2019.

The Fullmetal Alchemist: The Complete Four-Panel Comics features a complete collection of four-panel comic strips from Hiromu Arakawa’s original Fullmetal Alchemist series (which is published in English by VIZ Media) and never-before-seen bonus strips from Japan. The title is rated “T” for Teens and carries a print MSRP of $12.99 U.S. / $17.99 CAN.

In an alchemical ritual gone wrong, Edward Elric lost his arm and his leg, and his brother Alphonse became nothing but a soul in a suit of armor. Though the Elric brothers’ circumstances are tragic, in these spoofs penned by author Hiromu Arakawa, the duo’s quest to reclaim their bodies is completely hilarious.

VIZ Media is releasing The Complete Art of Fullmetal Alchemist on November 13, 2018.

The Complete Art of Fullmetal Alchemist contains more than 300 illustrations of Fullmetal Alchemist by creator Hiromu Arakawa. The MSRP for The Complete Art of Fullmetal Alchemist will be $34.99 U.S. / $46.99 CAN. The release contains the artwork collected in the two previously published art books from Fullmetal Alchemist as well as all new content, perfect for collectors and fans of the bestselling series.

This massive hardcover collection contains all the Fullmetal Alchemist color artwork by manga artist Hiromu Arakawa from 2001 to 2017, including the series’ entire run and beyond. VIZ Media Announces New Publishing Titles Set to Debut in Early 2019

VIZ Media expands its publishing catalog with a variety of new acquisitions announced during its official panel events held at Comic-Con International 2018.

The new titles are scheduled for release beginning early in 2019 and include My Hero Academia: School Briefs, the first of three prose short story collections based on superhero action series created by Kohei Horikoshi. Rumiko Takahashi’s manga series Urusei Yatsura receives a new large trim edition, and Hiromu Arakawa brings us hilarious four-panel comics from the world of Fullmetal Alchemist. Two new Nausicaa books, The Art of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind Picture Book were also announced. Each book features Studio Ghibli art from director Hayao Miyazaki.

Silver Spoon Manga to Go Back on Hiatus After Four Chapters

This year’s 29th issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine has announced that Hiromu Arakawa’s Silver Spoon manga will go back on hiatus in the next issue. The manga had just returned from its last hiatus with a new chapter in the 26th issue on May 23, 2018. The manga also received new chapters in the 27th issue on May 30, 2018, the 28th issue on June 6, 2018, and the newest issue on June 13, 2018.

The magazine did not indicate when the series will return.

Silver Spoon Manga to Get Another New Chapter on May 30, 2018

This year’s 26th issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine has announced that Hiromu Arakawa’s Silver Spoon manga will continue with a new chapter in the magazine’s next issue on May 30, 2018. This week’s issue also published a new chapter of the manga, the first since the manga returned to being on hiatus on July 26, 2017.

The magazine did not indicate that the manga is returning to regular serialization.

Silver Spoon Manga to Get a New Chapter on May 23, 2018

This year’s 25th issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine has announced that the next issue will publish the newest chapter of Hiromu Arakawa’s Silver Spoon manga on May 23, 2018. After returning from hiatus on July 5, 2017, the manga went back on hiatus after three chapters on July 26, 2017.

The manga’s 14th and most recent compiled book volume shipped in Japan on August 18, 2017. The 13th compiled volume revealed in June 2015 that the climax of the manga’s story will be “imminent,” though the series has taken several hiatuses since then.

VIZ Media Announces the Release of Fullmetal Alchemist: Fullmetal Edition

VIZ Media delivers the Fullmetal Alchemist manga in a fully remastered collector’s edition with the release of Fullmetal Alchemist: Fullmetal Edition on May 8, 2018.

Manga creator Hiromu Arakawa first attracted attention in 1999 with her award-winning manga Stray Dog. Her series Fullmetal Alchemist was serialized from 2001 to 2010 with a story that spanned 27 volumes and became an international critical and commercial success, receiving both the Shogakukan Manga Award and Seiun Award and selling over 70 million copies worldwide. Fullmetal Alchemist has been adapted into anime twice, first as Fullmetal Alchemist in 2003 and again as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood in 2009. The series has also inspired numerous films, video games and novels.

This year’s 34th issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine has announced that Hiromu Arakawa’s Silver Spoon manga will go back on hiatus in the 35th issue on July 26, 2017. The manga had just returned from hiatus in the 32nd issue on July 5, 2017. The magazine has not yet announced when the series will resume.

The manga’s 13th and most recent compiled volume revealed in June 2015 that the climax of the manga’s story will be “imminent,” though the series has taken several hiatuses since then.

Silver Spoon Manga to Return on July 5, 2017

This year’s 31st issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is revealing that Hiromu Arakawa’s Silver Spoon manga will return in the next issue on July 5, 2017. The series went on hiatus in September 2016 after having just resumed in August 2016.

The series also returned from an eight-month hiatus in January 2016.
