Harukana Receive Manga to End on September 24, 2020

The October 2020 issue of Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine has announced that Nyoijizai will end the Harukana Receive manga in the magazine’s next issue on September 24, 2020.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga, and describes it as:

When high schooler Haruka moves to Okinawa, she finds herself enamored with the beach right outside her front door and resolves to form a volleyball team with her cousin, Kanata. However, because she’s so short, Kanata gave up on volleyball ages ago. Can Haruka get her to take up the sport again in time for the junior tournament?

Nyoijizai launched the manga in Manga Time Kirara Forward in August 2015.

FUNimation Entertainment Announces Summer SimulDub Premiere Dates

FUNimation Entertainment has announced its Summer 2018 simuldub schedule, and the premiere dates are as follows:

  • ISLAND – July 21, 2018
  • Angels of Death – July 23, 2018
  • Harukana Receive – July 24, 2018
  • Chio’s School Road – July 25, 2018
  • Hanebado! – July 25, 2018
  • How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord – July 25, 2018
  • The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar – July 28, 2018
  • Magical Girl Raising Project – July 29, 2018
  • Overlord III – July 31, 2018
  • Free! Dive to the Future – August 2, 2018
  • Lord of Vermilion: The Crimson King – August 2, 2018
  • Dies irae – August 28, 2018

The premiere times of all of the above shows are 4:00 p.m. EDT.

FUNimation will also continue its earlier simuldubs. My Hero Academia and One Piece are streaming on Saturdays, Black Clover on Sundays, Steins;Gate 0 on Mondays, and Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- on Thursdays.

The company also announced that its Attack on Titan Season 3 simuldub will premiere in August 2018.

Crunchyroll and FUNimation Entertainment to Stream the Chio’s School Road, Harukana Receive, and Hanebad Anime

Crunchyroll and FUNimation Entertainment have announced that they will stream the Chio’s School Road, Harukana Receive, and Hanebad! anime for the Summer 2018 simulcast season. FUNimation’s streams will be English-dubbed.

FUNimation also announced that it will stream a simuldub for the Island anime and the final six episodes of >Dies irae. Crunchyroll already announced simulcast plans for these titles.

All of the shows, including Island and Dies irae, will be available on FUNimation in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Hanebad! will stream worldwide outside of Asia on Crunchyroll. Harukana Receive and Chio’s School Road will stream on Crunchyroll in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Netherlands, Scandinavia, and Latin America.

Two More Cast Members Announced for the Harukana Receive Anime

Two more cast members have been announced for the forthcoming anime adaptation of the Harukana Receive manga:

  • Atsumi Tanezaki is Kurea (Claire) Thomas
  • Rie Suegara is Emiri (Emily) Thomas

Toshiyuki Kubooka is directing the anime at C2C and Touko Machida is handling the script and series composition. Takeshi Oda is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director).

Seven Seas Entertainment Licenses the Harukana Receive Manga

Seven Seas Entertainment has announced that it has licensed Nyoijizai’s Harukana Receive manga. The first volume is scheduled to be released in print and digital on September 11, 2018.

Nyoijizai launched the manga in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward in August 2015. The fourth compiled volume shipped on September 12, 2017.
