FUNimation Entertainment and Crunchyroll to Stream the Fate/Grand Order: Moonlight/Lostroom Anime Special

The official English website for the Fate/Grand Order anime has announced that the Fate/Grand Order: Moonlight/Lostroom special will begin streaming on FunimationNow and Crunchyroll on December 31, 2019 at 3:00 a.m. EST.

The anime short debuted in Japan on December 31, 2017 as a New Year’s special.

Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia Anime to Stream on Crunchyroll After Premiering on FUNimation

Aniplex of America has announced that the Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia (Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majū Sensen Babylonia) anime will also stream on Crunchyroll “at a later date” after FUNimation Entertainment’s stream of the anime. While the announcement did not specify when exactly Crunchyroll will begin streaming the anime, FUNimation, Wakanim and Madman Anime Group’s AnimeLab will have a 30-day window of streaming exclusivity in their territories.

FUNimation will also have a one-year window of streaming exclusivity on the dubbed version.

Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television on October 5, 2019.

Aniplex of America Presents Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia Special Premiere in Los Angeles

Aniplex of America will host the North America premiere of the new series, Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia on September 29, 2019 at the Aratani Theatre in the historic Little Tokyo neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Lucky fans will be the first to experience this heart pounding new series produced by the acclaimed studio CloverWorks, ahead of its premiere on October 5, 2019. The screening will feature three episodes beginning with the prologue Episode 0, which was released on August 3, 2019, followed by the premiere of episodes 1 and 2. Aniplex of America will also be selling a limited supply of exclusive merchandise from the show. Tickets will go on sale September 10, 2019 at 12 PM (PDT) on the Aratani Theatre website with tickets priced at $12.50. Seating will be on a first come, first serve basis with a free giveaway at the door and show time is listed at 4 PM (Local Time) on September 29, 2019.

As the newest series addition to the Fate franchise, Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia chronicles the seventh Singularity of the Fate/Grand Order mobile game, which has been recognized as one of the most successful mobile games in the world with over 41 million global downloads. The series is helmed by the two godfathers of the Fate franchise with Takashi Takeuchi serving as lead character designer along with Kinoko Nasu and TYPE-MOON handling the original story. The series has also enlisted Toshifumi Akai, best known for his work as the storyboard animation director for Porter Robinson’s “Shelter” music video, as the director with Miyuki Kuroki of The Idolm@ster SideM as assistant director.

The series stars Nobunaga Shimazaki and Rie Takahashi as protagonists, Ritsuka Fujimaru and Mash Kyrielight, along with Ayako Kawasumi, most known for her role as Saber within the Fate series, as Fou.. The series also reunites Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] cast members Tomokazu Seki, as fan favorite character Gilgamesh, Yuu Asakawa as “Rogue Servant” Ana, and Kana Ueda, who lends her voice as the Mesopotamian goddess Ishtar. Rounding out the cast are veteran voice actors Kenichi Suzumura as Romani Archaman, Takahiro Sakura as Merlin, and Maaya Sakamoto as Leornard da Vinci.

Crunchyroll to Add the Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia Anime’s “Episode 0”

Crunchyroll has announced that it will add “Episode 0 Initium Iter” of Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia (Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majū Sensen Babylonia), the television anime of the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game’s “Dai Nana Tokuiten Zettai Majū Sensen Babylonia” (Order VII: The Absolute Frontline in the War Against the Demonic Beasts: Babylonia) story. The episode will be available on September 5, 2019 at 3:00 a.m. EDT (12:00 a.m. PDT) in North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

“Episode 0 Initium Iter” already debuted within the main Fate/Grand Order game app on August 11, 2019, but the episode was only available for 24 hours. It became available on Japanese streaming services on August 12, 2019.

The main anime is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television on October 5, 2019.

Learning with Manga! Fate/Grand Order Manga Gets a 15-Minute Anime

A 15-minute anime based on RiyO’s Learning with Manga! Fate/Grand Order (Manga de Wakaru! Fate/Grand Order) manga debuted during the Fate Project Ōmisoka TV Special 2018 (Fate Project New Year’s Eve TV Special) on December 31, 2018. The anime is now streaming on the Fate/Grand Order game’s YouTube channel.

The cast includes:

  • Rie Takahashi is Mash Kyrielight
  • Madoka Yonezawa is Olga Marie Animusphere
  • Maaya Sakamoto is Jeanne d’Arc and Jeanne d’Arc Alter Santa Lily

The manga runs on the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game’s website and Twitter account. Kadokawa published the first compiled volume in August 2017. The manga also serializes in English on the game’s English website.

Kodansha Comics Licenses the Cardcaptor Sakura, Tales of Berseria, and Fate/Grand Order Manga

Kodansha Comics announced at Anime NYC that it has licensed CLAMP’s Cardcaptor Sakura, Nobu Aonagi’s Tales of Berseria, and Shiramine’s Fate/Grand Order – mortalis:stella manga. In addition, the company announced that it plans to release a collector’s edition box set for its nine Princess Jellyfish omnibus volumes in Summer 2019.

The publisher will release the first volume of its Cardcaptor Sakura: Collector’s Edition in Spring 2019. The edition will consist of nine hardcover volumes with a newly-revised translation and all the original color pages. Each volume will have new cover art by CLAMP and a “Clow Card.” The publisher teased that those who collect all nine volumes will get a “special treat.”

Kodansha Comics will begin releasing the four-volume Tales of Berseria series in Fall 2019.

The publisher will begin releasing the Fate/Grand Order – mortalis:stella series in Fall 2019.
