Tubi TV Adds the Dubbed Versions of the Six Digimon Adventure Tri. Films to Its Catalog

The Fandom Post is reporting that Tubi TV has added the English dub versions of the six Digimon Adventure Tri. anime films to its catalog.

Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 1: Reunion opened in November 2015, Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 2: Determination opened in March 2016, Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 3: Confession opened in September 2016, Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 4: Loss opened in February 2017, Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 5: Coexistence opened on September 30, 2017, and Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 6: Our Future opened on May 5, 2018.

The films were directed by Keitaro Motonaga based on the series composition by Yuuko Kakihara and character designs by Atsuya Uki.

Shout! Factory to Release Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna Anime Film on Blu-ray Disc/DVD in October 2020

Shout! Factory and Toei Animation have announced that they will release the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna anime film digitally and on home video in Fall 2020. Toei Animation will release the film digitally on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft, and Sony PlayStation Network on September 29, 2020. Shout! Factory will then ship the anime on DVD and Blu-ray Disc combo pack on October 6, 2020. Both releases with include both English subtitles and an English dub.

Digimon Adventure: Anime to Restart Its Broadcast

The official Twitter account of the Digimon franchise has announced that the Digimon Adventure: reboot anime will restart its broadcast on June 7, 2020 and that it will restart from Episode 1.

The anime’s official website announced on April 13, 2020 that Toei Animation would delay further episodes of the series due to the spread of COVID-19.

Digimon Adventure: premiered in Japan on April 5, 2020. Crunchyroll is simulcasting the anime as it airs in Japan.

Hulu Streams Four Digimon Anime Series

Toei Animation has announced on Twitter that the following anime in the Digimon franchise are streaming on Hulu with English dubs:

  • Digimon Adventure
  • Digimon Adventure 02
  • Digimon Tamers
  • Digimon Frontier

Hulu previously streamed the four Digimon anime series, but it removed them in June 2019 when the streaming rights expired.

Shout! Factory Delays the Release of the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna Anime Film

Anime News Network is reporting that Shout! Factory has confirmed with them that the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna DVD and Blu-ray Disc combo pack will not launch on July 7, 2020 as initially planned. Shout! Factory had announced the original release date on April 20, 2020, but is postponing the release “due to a production delay.” As of this writing, no new release date has been announced.

The Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna anime film opened in Japan on February 21, 2020.

Fathom Events and Toei Animation had planned to screen the film with English subtitles in select theaters in the United States on March 25, 2020, but postponed the screening due to health and safety concerns related to the spread of COVID-19.

Shout! Factory to Offer Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna Film on Blu-ray Disc/DVD on July 7, 2020

Shout! Factory has announced that it will release the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna anime film on a Blu-ray Disc and DVD home video combo pack on July 7, 2020. The release will include both the English dub and the Japanese audio with English subtitles, as well as bonus features.

Digimon Adventure: Anime Delayed Due to COVID-19

The official website for the Digimon Adventure: reboot anime has announced that they will delay further episodes due to the spread of COVID-19. The Digimon Adventure: anime was scheduled to air its fourth episode on April 26, 2020, but the same timeslot will now air a rerun of the recently concluded GeGeGe no Kitarō anime. The website will reveal at a later date when new episodes will resume.
