Crunchyroll Expo has announced that it will host a premiere screening of the first episode of the Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! (Watashi, Nōryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne!) anime on August 31, 2019. The film’s producer Hirotsugu Ogo will participate in a discussion panel after the screening.

Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! is scheduled to premiere in Japan in October 2019, and Crunchyroll will simulcast the series outside Asia in Fall 2019.

Crunchyroll Expo will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California from August 30-September 1, 2019.

Crunchyroll Expo to Host the U.S. Premiere of The Wonderland Anime Film

Crunchyroll Expo has announced that this year’s convention will host the United States premiere of Keiichi Hara’s The Wonderland (Birthday Wonderland) anime film on August 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Eleven Arts will also release the film.

The film opened in Japan on April 26, 2019 and screened in competition at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June 2019. Fantasia Festival in Montreal, Canada also screened the film in July 2019.

Crunchyroll Expo to Host the Premiere of Chihayafuru Season 3

Crunchyroll Expo has announced that it will host Toshio Nakatani, the producer of the third season of the Chihayafuru anime, at this year’s convention. Nakatani will participate in a panel and screening for the premiere of the third season at the CRX 2019 Theater on August 31, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.

Crunchyroll will stream the third season of Chihayafuru in Fall 2019. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan on October 22, 2019.

Crunchyroll Expo will be taking place at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California from August 30-September 1, 2019.

Crunchyroll Expo Hosts the Cast and Staff of the Zombie Land Saga Anime

Crunchyroll Expo has announced that it will host four cast and staff members from the Zombie Land Saga anime at this year’s convention. Kaede Hondo (voice of Sakura Minamoto), Asami Tano (voice of Saki Nikaidō), composer Yasuharu Takanashi, and MAPPA’s CEO and producer Manabu Ohtsuka will appear at the convention. They will participate in a panel to discuss the series and analyze some of the anime’s scenes.

In addition, staff announced that Toei Animation will host a double-feature presentation of the Dragon Ball Z: Bardock – The Father of Goku special and the Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn film at the convention. Dragon Ball Z: Bardock – The Father of Goku debuted in 1990, and Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn premiered in 1995. FUNimation Entertainment released both works on home video.

Crunchyroll has announced that it will simulcast the High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World and Ascendance of a Bookworm television anime in Fall 2019 as they air in Japan. Both series will be available worldwide except in Asia, and the first episodes of both series will premiere at this year’s Crunchyroll Expo.

Crunchyroll Expo to Host the World Premiere of the Blackfox Anime Film

Crunchyroll has announced that this year’s Crunchyroll Expo convention will host the world premiere of Studio 3Hz’s original theatrical anime project Blackfox. The company will also stream Blackfox, a Crunchyroll co-production, in all territories except Asia, France, Germany, Italy, and Russia.

Kazuya Nomura is the chief director of the anime at Studio 3Hz, and Keisuke Shinohara is directing the anime. Naoki Hayashi is the scriptwriter. Atsushi Saito is the character designer. Masaru Yokoyama is composing the music. fripSide is performing the theme song “BLACKFOX.”

The film is scheduled to open in Japan on October 5, 2019.

Crunchyroll to Stream the Second Season of the Bananya Anime

Crunchyroll has announced that it is will stream Bananya and the Curious Bunch (Bananya: Fushigi na Nakamatachi), the second season of the anime adapting Q-LiA’s Bananya banana cat mascot character. The company will begin streaming the anime in Fall 2019.

The second season will include over 20 new characters.

The anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan in Fall 2019.
