ComiXology and Kodansha Comics to Release Volumes 34-44 of The Drops of God Manga

Comixology and Kodansha Comics have announced that they will release Volumes 34-44 of Tadashi Agi and Shū Okimoto’s The Drops of God (Kami no Shizuku) manga digitally in English for the first time on May 18, 2021. The volumes are the final 11 volumes of the series.

The series is available digitally as part of the Comixology Originals line of content at no additional cost for members of Amazon Prime via Prime Reading, Kindle Unlimited, and Comixology Unlimited. The manga is also available for purchase through Kindle and Comixology.

The companies released Volumes 1-8 re-edited with new cover art and debuted Volumes 9-11 in English in October 2019. The companies then launched Volumes 12-22 in May 2020 and Volumes 23-33 in October 2020.

Vertical previously licensed the series in 2011 and released part of the manga in North America.

Agi launched The Drops of God manga with artist Shū Okimoto in Kodansha’s Morning magazine in 2004. The manga ended in June 2014.

Kodansha Comics has announced they have expanded their availability on comiXology Unlimited and Kindle Unlimited to include an additional nearly 600 manga volumes to the Amazon-powered comics, graphic novel and manga streaming services.

These additions which include volumes from manga series like Attack on Titan: Before the Fall, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Gleipnir, Chihayafuru and more, join the 400+ manga titles already part of the streaming service. ComiXology and Kodansha Comics to Release Volumes 23-33 of The Drops of God Manga

Comixology has announced that it and Kodansha Comics have released Volumes 23-33 of Tadashi Agi and Shū Okimoto’s The Drops of God (Kami no Shizuku) manga digitally in English for the first time. The companies will launch the final volumes (34-44) in 2021.

Comic-Con International’s YouTube channel will stream a Storytellers Across Media panel by Kodansha USA on October 24, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. EDT, and the panel will feature the manga’s writers Shin and Yuko Kibayashi (known together under the pen name Tadashi Agi). Wine Spectator magazine’s Ben O’Donnell will interview the writers in the panel titled “Creating The Drops of God: An Intimate Interview.”

The manga’s first 33 volumes are available digitally as part of the Comixology Originals line of content at no additional cost for members of Amazon Prime via Prime Reading, Kindle Unlimited, and Comixology Unlimited. The manga is also available for purchase through Kindle and Comixology.

Kodansha Comics Chapters Are Now in comiXology Unlimited

The Fandom Post is reporting that Kodansha Comics has made their new chapters day-and-date available with comiXology Unlimited. The service, which is $5.99 a month, will let you read all the new chapters as they come out from Kodansha Comics for free by “borrowing” them from the service.

Kodansha Comics to Release the Full Shaman King Manga on comiXology on October 6, 2020

Kodansha Comics has announced that it will digitally release Hiroyuki Takei’s Shaman King manga on comixology on October 6, 2020. The company will then release the Shaman King spin-off manga Shaman King: Zero on October 13, 2020, Shaman King Flowers on October 20, 2020, Shaman King: Red Crimson. on October 27, 2020, and Shaman King: Super Star on December 8, 2020.

The company delayed the digital release of Shaman King from its previous release date of July 28, 2020. The Shaman King: Zero, Shaman King Flowers, Shaman King: Red Crimson., and Shaman King: Super Star spin-off manga were previously scheduled to launch in August 2020.

Kodansha Comics stated that the delays will not affect its planned physical release of Shaman King. The company will publish the manga in 11 three-in-one omnibus print editions from 2021 to 2022. The first two volumes will launch simultaneously in Spring 2021.

ComiXology and Kodansha Comics to Publish the Shaman King Manga Digitally on July 28, 2020

comiXology Originals and Kodansha USA Publishing have announced they will publish all of Hiroyuki Takei’s Shaman King manga series digitally in English on July 28, 2020. Volumes 33, 34, and 35 will appear for the first time in English along with the first 32 volumes on Amazon’s Kindle Store and comiXology’s store, as well as the Amazon Prime, Kindle Unlimited, and comiXology Unlimited subscription services.

The new release of the manga series will feature new cover art by Takei.

Kodansha Comics will host an online panel to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the finale of the manga during the San Diego Comic-Con@Home digital event on July 23, 2020. The panel will feature Kodansha Comics’ Misaki Kido, Ben Applegate, and Ivan Salazar and will reveal more information on the new release of the manga.

SOZO Comics to Release Four Manga in English on ComiXology

Digital comics publisher SOZO Comics has announced that it will release four manga in English on comiXology starting on July 16, 2019.

The four titles are:

  • Enchanted Racer by Akira Itō, Yoshio Sekine, and Ikeda
  • Marin by Sanyo and Himekawa Art
  • Prince of Lan Ling by Yoshiki Tanaka and Takeru Kirishima
