Berserk Manga Goes Back on Hiatus Until Winter

This year’s 13th issue of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine is revealing that Kentarou Miura’s Berserk manga is going back on hiatus until “around winter.” The issue on will feature a new chapter.

Miura had resumed the manga in the seventh issue of Young Animal, which shipped on March 24, 2017. The manga had been running on a monthly schedule (Hakusensha publishes Young Animal twice a month).

The manga’s previous hiatus lasted from September 2016-March 2017.

Crunchyroll to Stream New Berserk Anime’s Second Season and Compilation Special

Crunchyroll has announced that it will simulcast the second season of the new Berserk anime, as well as the compilation special for the first season. Both the second season and the compilation special will be available to users worldwide outside of Asia, New Zealand, and Australia.

The anime adapts Kentarou Miura’s dark fantasy manga of the same name. Miura himself is serving as executive supervisor for the series. Shin Itagaki is directing the anime. Makoto Fukami is supervising the series scripts in collaboration with Takashi Yamashita. Hisashi Abe is designing the characters. Shiro Sagisu is composing the music.

The second season of the new Berserk anime is scheduled to premiere in Japanese television on April 7, 2017.

Information on the New Berserk Television Anime Series

Information has been revealed for the forthcoming new Berserk television anime series.

Shin Itagaki is directing the anime. Makoto Fukami is supervising the series scripts in collaboration with Takashi Yamashita. Hisashi Abe is designing the characters. Shiro Sagisu is composing the music. LIDEN FILMS is credited for production, while GEMBA and Millepensee are credited for animation production.

The cast includes:
