TMS Entertainment began streaming the second trailer with English subtitles for the Baki: Son of Ogre anime, which revealed that all 12 episodes of the series are scheduled to premiere on Netflix worldwide on September 30, 2021.

This year’s 32nd issue of Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine has announced that Netflix will premiere TMS Entertainment’s Baki: Son of Ogre anime worldwide in Fall 2021.

The anime is described as:

The story finally unfolds into a full-blooded clash between Baki Hanma and his father, Yujiro Hanma, who is known as the “strongest creature on earth.” The climax of the Baki universe, which depicted the “strongest parent-child brawl in history of the world” in the original manga, has been adapted into the long-awaited anime.

Baki: Son of Ogre, will be the third Baki series on Netflix, and it will commemorate the 30th anniversary of Baki: The Grappler.

Sentai Filmworks to Release BAKI on Home Video

Sentai Filmworks has announced that it has acquired BAKI, the brutal martial arts anime series, for release in a home video complete collection. Sentai’s release will feature the original Japanese with English subtitles together with an all-new English dub.

Five vicious convicts escape death row. They make their way to Tokyo intent on committing violent blood sport. Now they’re after Baki Hanma. With the onslaught looming, Baki must enlist Kaoru Hanayama, Doppo Orochi, Sea King Retsu and Goki Shibukawa, each with his own unique combat ability, if Baki wants to live to brawl another day.

From the mind of the series’ original creator, Keisuke Itagaki, BAKI adapts the “Most Evil Death Row Convicts Saga” of the second manga series. BAKI is produced by TMS Entertainment and directed by Toshiki Hirano, with series composition from Tatsuhiko Urahata. The series stars Nobunaga Shimazaki as Baki Hanma, Takuya Eguchi as Kaoru Hanayama, Takayuki Sugo as Doppo Orochi, Rikiya Koyama as Sea King Retsu and Shimada Bin as Goki Shibukawa.

Baki Anime Season 2 to Premiere on Netflix Worldwide on June 4, 2020

The live-streamed Netflix Anime Special has announced that Baki: Dai Raitaisai-hen, the second new anime season of Keisuke Itagaki’s Baki (New Grappler Baki: In Search of Our Strongest Hero) manga, will debut exclusively on Netflix worldwide on June 4, 2020.

Most of the staff are returning for the second season, with the addition of Shingo Ishikawa and Masanori Nishiyama. Toshiki Hirano is directing the the second season at TMS Entertainment. Fujio Suzuki and Shingo Ishikawa are designing the characters. Tatsuhiko Urahata is in charge of the series scripts. Kenji Fujisawa is composing the music.

The cast returns for the second season.

MyAnimeList Adds Five Free Manga

Anime database website MyAnimeList has added five free manga to its website, including: Yako Gureishi’s Somari and the Guardian of the Forest, Keisuke Itagaki’s Baki, Hitori Renda’s Ousama Game, Masahito Soda’s The Tenth Prism, and Ayumu Aso’s Ravelli’s Defiant Bride. The manga have their first two chapters available, with future chapters being made available every week.

North Star Pictures publishes Somari and the Guardian of the Forest manga digitally in English. Media Do, the parent company of MyAnimeList, publishes the Baki manga digitally in English. Futabasha published the Ousama Game manga digitally in English. Crunchyroll published The Tenth Prism manga digitally in English. Ravelli’s Defiant Bride manga adapts Lynne Graham’s novel of the same name. Harlequin, the publisher of the original novel, released the manga digitally in English in May 2018.

Netflix to Debut the Second Half of the Baki Anime Outside of Japan on March 19, 2019

Netflix has announced that the second half of the new Baki anime will debut outside of Japan on March 18, 2019.

Netflix premiered the anime in Japan on June 25, 2018, and it ran for 26 episodes ending on December 17, 2018. Netflix posted the first 13 episodes outside of Japan on December 18, 2018.

Netflix Announces December 2018 Premiere Dates for the Baki, Sirius the Jaeger, and Hi Score Girl Anime

Netflix U.S. has announced that it will premiere Baki on December 18, 2018, Sirius the Jaeger and the second part of Last Hope on December 21, 2018, and Hi Score Girl on December 24, 2018. All four are labelled as Netflix Original anime.

Other previously revealed anime premiering on Netflix in December 2018 include Hero Mask (December 3,2018), Neo Yokio Pink Christmas (December 7, 2018), and Back Street Girls: Gokudols (December 12, 2018). Netflix also announced that it will add Astro Boy on December 1, 2018, but did not specify which Astro Boy.
