Anime USA Announces Toshifumi Yoshida as Guest

Anime USA has announced that Toshifumi Yoshida will be a guest at their upcoming convention. In the past, Yoshida worked on an anime magazine called ANIMAG, spent 12 years producing anime at VIZ Media, and two years as a producer at Bandai Entertainment. He has also worked as a translator.

Yoshida’s credits include the English-language versions of Ranma 1/2, InuYasha, Kurokami: The Animation, and Gurren Lagann as well as numerous amounts of manga translations such as Negima! for Del Rey, Eureka Seven for Bandai Entertainment, and Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service for Dark Horse. He is currently the Senior Producer for The Pokemon Company International overseeing the localization of the Pokemon TV series and movies into English and 16+ languages across Europe and Latin America.

Anime USA has announced that anime voice actors Kira Buckland, Crispin Freeman, Lisa Ortiz, Monica Rial, and Karen Strassman will be guests at their upcoming convention.

Buckland’s credits include Umi in Love Live!, Izumo in Blue Exorcist, Kanae in 5 Centimeters Per Second, Mika in Durarara!! x2, Cookie and Eco in Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, and Mimete in the new Sailor Moon dub.

Freeman’s credits include Hideki Motosuwa in Chobits, Jeremiah Gottwald in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Kyon in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya and The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, Holland in Eureka Seven, Tylor in The Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Itachi Uchiha in Naruto, Karasu in Noein: To Your Other Self, and Zelgadis Graywords in The Slayers.

Ortiz’s credits include Lina Inverse in The Slayers, Amy Rose in Sonic the Hedgehog, and Deedlit in Record of Lodoss War.

Rial’s credits include Bulma in the Dragon Ball franchise, Kaede Kayano in Assassination Classroom, Mitsuki Nase in Beyond the Boundary, Mey-Rin in Black Butler, Chiko in The Boy and the Beast, Sakura Kinomoto in Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, Jun Shiomi in Food Wars!, Kyouko Tokiwa in Full Metal Panic!, May Chang in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Yu Kashima in Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, Tsuguha in Noragami, and Kuina and Tashigi in One Piece.

Strassman’s credits include Casca in Berserk, Momo Hinamori and Soifon in Bleach, Yuzuki in Chobits, Sawako Yamanaka in K-ON!, Kazuko Saotome in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and UrĂ°r in Sword Art Online II.

In addition to being a co-founder of the Gainax anime studio, Inoue has also worked on such anime as Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise, Memories, Perfect Blue, Tenchi Universe, Macross II, and Moldiver.
