A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- Manga to End in April 2019

The May 2019 issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine has announced that Hiroaki Michiaki’s manga adaptation of Netflix’s original A.I.C.O. Incarnation anime series will end in the next issue on April 26, 2019.

The manga launched in the same magazine in November 2017, and Kodansha published the second volume in Japan on October 9, 2018.

Kodansha Comics Announces Five New Digital First Manga Licenses for April 2018

Kodansha Comics has announced five new digital first manga series that will launch in April 2018 as part of the company’s plan to debut at least one new digital manga series every week. The five new series include:

  • You Got Me, Sempai! by Azusa Mase (debuts on April 3, 2018)
  • A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- by Hiroaki Michiaki (debuts on April 10, 2018)
  • Boarding School Juliet by Yōsuke Kaneda (debuts on April 10, 2018)
  • Peach Mermaid by Haru Akebono (debuts on April 17, 2018)
  • Defying Kurosaki-kun by Makino (debuts on April 24, 2018)

The company will also debut the first volume of Fujita’s Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku manga digitally and in print on April 17, 2018.

Cast Announcement for the A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- Anime

The staff and main cast have been announced for the forthcoming A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- anime series.

Kazuya Murata is directing the science-fiction anime at the studio Bones. Yuuichi Nomura is in charge of the series scripts. Satoshi Ishino is adapting the original character designs by Hanaharu Naruko for animation, and is also serving as chief animation director.

The main cast includes:

  • Yūsuke Kobayashi is Yuya Kanzaki
  • Ryota Takeuchi is Daisuke Shinoyama
  • Ai Kayano is Maho Shiraishi

A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- is scheduled to premiere on March 9, 2018. The series will stream on Netflix worldwide.

A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- Manga to Launch on November 25, 2017

The December 2017 issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine is announcing that Hiroaki Michiaki’s manga adaptation of Netflix’s original A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- anime series will launch in the magazine’s next issue on November 25, 2017.

The anime will premiere simultaneously worldwide in Spring 2018.

Netflix Announces Original A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- Sci-Fi Anime

Netflix announced during its “Netflix Anime Slate 2017” event that it will release an original anime series titled A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- simultaneously worldwide in Spring 2018.

Kazuya Murata is directing the science-fiction anime at the studio Bones (My Hero Academia, Eureka Seven). The series will run for 12 episodes.

Netflix describes the story:

In Japan in the year 2035, an accident known as the “Burst” occurs during a research project, spawning an out-of-control artificial life form called “Matter” that has spread throughout the Kurobe Gorge. The research city that was once hailed as the hope for humanity is cordoned off by the government. Two years later, 15-year-old Aiko Tachibana, who lost her family in the Burst, learns something unbelievable from Yuya Kanzaki, a new student at her school. A secret is hidden within her body, and the answer to the puzzle lies at the “Primary Point” that was the center of the Burst. Aiko resolves to infiltrate the restricted area, escorted by a team of divers and with Yuya as her guide. When boy meets girl with the fate of humanity in their hands, what new truth will come to light?
