The Final Two Episodes of the 86 Eighty Six Anime Are Delayed to March 2022

The production committee for the 86 Eighty Six anime has announced that the final two episodes of the series, Episodes 22 and 23, will be delayed until March 2022. In a statement on the official website for the series, the production committee stated that they “have decided to take some extra time to complete the episodes so that the viewers who have been looking forward to enjoying the climax of the second cour of this work can do so with the best quality we can produce.”

The 21st episode of 86 Eighty Six is still set to air in Japan on December 26, 2021, with the 22nd episode following on March 12, 2022 and the 23rd episode, the final, scheduled for March 19, 2022. The statement noted that this timing can only be confirmed for the Tokyo MX broadcast, with other stations and streaming services to be confirmed at a later time.

The staff apologized to fans for the delay and stated that “the entire staff will do their best to create a work that will meet the expectations of our fans.”

The second cour of 86 Eighty Six began airing on Japanese television on October 3, 2021, and Crunchyroll is simulcasting the series as it airs in Japan.

The 19th Episode of the 86 Eighty Six Is Delayed to December 4, 2021

The production committee for the 86 Eighty-Six anime has announced that the 19th episode of the second cour, which was originally scheduled to air on November 27, 2021 has been pushed back a week to December 4, 2021 due to “circumstances of production.”

The 18th episode of 86 Eighty-Six had previously been pushed back due to production reasons and replaced with a look back at the second part of the series so far. For the replacement of the 19th episode, a “special edition” of the show will be broadcast. The episode set to air on December 11, 2021 will also be pushed back due to special programming that night.

The second cour of 86 Eighty Six began airing on Japanese television on October 3, 2021, and Crunchyroll is simulcasting the series as it airs in Japan.

The 18th Episode of the 86 Eighty Six Is Delayed to November 20, 2021

The production committee for the 86 Eighty-Six anime has announced that the 18th episode of the second cour, which was scheduled to broadcast on Japanese TV on November 13, 2021, will be pushed back a week to November 20, 2021 due to “production reasons.” It was further announced that the episode that was scheduled to air on December 11, 2021 will also be pushed back a week due to special programming.

Instead of the airing of Episode 18 of 86 Eighty Six, a look back at the first few episodes of this part will be broadcast featuring the voice actors from the series.

Second Season Announced for the 86 Eighty Six Anime

It has been announced that a second season of the 86 Eighty Six anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan in October 2021.

The story of the series is described as:

The Republic of San Magnolia has been attacked by its neighbor, the Empire. Outside the 85 districts of the Republic there is the “non-existent 86th district,” where young men and women continue to fight. Sheen directs the actions of young suicide bombers, while Lena is a “curator” who commands a detachment from a remote rear. The story of the tragic struggle between these two begins.

The first season of 86 Eighty Six premiered on Japanese television on April 10, 2021. Crunchyroll simulcast the season as it aired, and the service is also streaming an English dub.
