The official website of Anime Expo 2023 has announced that the Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn- anime special will have its English dub world premiere at Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 1, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. PDT in Main Events, presented by Aniplex of America. It should be noted that the Japanese website for the anime states that the Anime Expo screening is taking place at 5:00 p.m. PDT instead of 7:00 p.m. PDT. The anime’s directors Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume will also have special appearances during the world premiere in Los Angeles.

The special was first announced at Aniplex Online Fest in September 2022. Its scheduled December 31, 2022 airing was delayed due to production issues. The special is planned to have simultaneous releases with English subtitles and dubbing overseen by Aniplex of America.

The story follows a new Holy Grail War waged between Mages and Heroes at Snowfield, a city in the western United States.

The Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn- anime special is scheduled to premiere in Japan on July 2, 2023.
