The official website for the Girls und Panzer franchise has announced that the fourth Girls und Panzer das Finale anime film is scheduled to open in Japan on October 6, 2023.

The first Girls und Panzer das Finale film opened in Japanese theaters in December 2017. The second film opened in Japan in June 2019, and the third opened in Japan on March 26, 2021.

The Girls und Panzer anime series follows Miho, a girl who just transferred into the Ōrai Girls’ Academy in Ibaraki Prefecture. She finds herself alone at first, but then joins the “senshadō” (tank combat) course — in this school, the girls drive real-life tanks the way girls in other schools take archery or kendō sword fighting. Miho’s Ankō (Angler Fish) Team competes with the other teams.
