The official Twitter account for the Golden Kamuy anime has announced that the fourth season will begin re-airing in Japan on April 3, 2023. It was taken off the schedule during the Fall 2022 anime season due to one of the main staff members passing away during production.

The first season of the Golden Kamuy anime premiered in April 2018. Crunchyroll simulcast the series with English subtitles as it aired in Japan, and FUNimation Entertainment streamed it with an English dub. The second season premiered in October 2018. Crunchyroll simulcast the series as it aired, and FUNimation began streaming an English dub later in October 2018.

The third season premiered in October 2020. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime as it aired in Japan. FUNimation streamed an English dub. The fourth and current season of Golden Kamuy premiered on October 3, 2022, and Crunchyroll simulcast the season through Episode Six.
