The official Twitter account for Yukito Kishiro’s Battle Angel Alita: Mars Chronicle manga series has announced that the manga’s current hiatus will extend until Summer 2023, instead of the previously announced Spring 2023 return. The manga will move to Kodansha’s Comic Days app, since Evening magazine has ended publication with its final issue on February 28, 2023.

Previously, the manga took a two month break in June 2021, and returned in August 2021.

Kishiro launched the Battle Angel Alita: Mars Chronicle manga in Kodansha’s Evening magazine in April 2014. Kodansha Comics is releasing the manga in English.
