Voice actor Bob Bergen has announced on Facebook that voice actor Jan Rabson passed away. He was 68 years old at the time of his passing.

Rabson was born in East Meadow, New York on June 14, 1954. He was a member of Johnny Carson’s “Mighty Carson Art Players,” where he performed and voiced characters in sketches.

In anime, Rabson is best known for providing the voice of Tetsuo in the original Wally Burr Recording/Streamline dub of Akira. He also provided his voice in the Mobile Suit Gundam – The Movie Trilogy, Royal Space Force – The Wings of HonnĂªamise, Gatchaman (G-Force), Ponyo, Black Magic M-66, and Street Fighter II V anime. Rabson also provided voices in Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Monsters Inc., and Cars.
