Crunchyroll announced at the My Hero Academia panel at New York Comic Con 2022 that it will begin streaming the English dub for the sixth season of the My Hero Academia anime on October 15, 2022.
The sixth season premiered on October 1, 2022. The season will air for two continuous cours for a total of 25 episodes. The new season adapts the “Paranormal Liberation War” arc of Kōhei Horikoshi’s original manga, which features an all-out war between heroes and villains.
The first season of My Hero Academia premiered in April 2016. The second season premiered in April 2017, and the third season premiered in April 2018. The fourth season premiered in Japan in October 2019. A two-episode original video anime for the franchise streamed in Japan in August 2020, and FUNimation Entertainment and Crunchyroll simulcast the episodes. The fifth season premiered in Japan in March 2021.
A new two-episode original video anime for My Hero Academia screened in Japan on June 16-19, 2022. Crunchyroll began streaming the episodes on August 1, 2022.
