The official website for the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime has announced that the film will be titled, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bonds, and that the film will be opening in Japanese theaters in November 2022.
Fuse, the author of the original light novel series, drafted the film’s brand-new original story. The story will focus on a new country named Razha, located to the west of Tempest. Rimuru and his companions get involved in a long-running conspiracy that swirls around a girl with a mysterious power. Rimuru and his commander Benimaru also encounter another ogre survivor named Hiiro, who used to hold Benimaru in high regard.
The first That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime premiered in October 2018. Crunchyroll simulcast the series as it aired in Japan, and FUNimation Entertainment streamed an English dub. The second anime season premiered its first cour in January 2021, with the second cour premiering in July 2021. Both FUNimation and Crunchyroll simulcast the second part as it aired in Japan, and FUNimation also streamed an English dub.
