The official Twitter account for the World Trigger anime has posted a terse and sudden announcement confirming that the planned broadcast of the 14th episode of the third season has been suspended and that further announcements on the series and episode broadcast will be made via the account and the series official homepage. The announcement was made 35 minutes before the episode’s scheduled broadcast in Japan and gave no reason for the sudden suspension.

Crunchyroll is simulcasting the third season of the World Trigger anime as it airs in Japan.

UPDATE: It was later confirmed that the episode’s airing was suspended for news bulletins covering the tsunami alert associated with the underwater volcano exploding in Tonga.
