FUNimation Entertainment has announced that it will simulcast the How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom anime as part of the Summer 2021 anime season. The anime will stream on FunimationNow in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil and Mexico; on AnimeLab in Australia and New Zealand; and on Wakanim in Scandinavian countries.

Takashi Watanabe is directing the anime at J.C. Staff. Go Zappa and Hiroshi Ohnogi are writing the scripts. Mai Otsuka is designing the characters. Akiyuki Tateyama is composing the music. WOWMAX is credited as producer.

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom is scheduled to premiere in Japan in July 2021.
