Comixology has announced that it and Kodansha Comics have released Volumes 23-33 of Tadashi Agi and Shū Okimoto’s The Drops of God manga digitally in English for the first time. The companies will launch the final volumes (34-44) in 2021.
Comic-Con International’s YouTube channel will stream a Storytellers Across Media panel by Kodansha USA on October 24, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. EDT, and the panel will feature the manga’s writers Shin and Yuko Kibayashi (known together under the pen name Tadashi Agi). Wine Spectator magazine’s Ben O’Donnell will interview the writers in the panel titled “Creating The Drops of God: An Intimate Interview.”
The manga’s first 33 volumes are available digitally as part of the comiXology Originals line of content at no additional cost for members of Amazon Prime via Prime Reading, Kindle Unlimited, and comiXology Unlimited. The manga is also available for purchase through Kindle and comiXology.
The companies released Volumes 1-8 re-edited with new cover art and debuted Volumes 9-11 in English in October 2019. The companies then launched Volumes 12-22 on May 6, 2020.
Agi launched The Drops of God manga with artist Shū Okimoto in Kodansha’s Morning magazine in 2004. The manga ended in June 2014.
