FUNimation Entertainment has announced that it will exclusively stream The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc, the second season of The Irregular at Magic High School anime, from Aniplex of America in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The anime will also be available in Australia and New Zealand through AnimeLab. Aniplex of America began streaming an English-subtitled trailer, and the video reveals that the anime will begin streaming on October 3, 2020.

The series was delayed from July 2020 to October 2020 due to the effects of COVID-19.

Risako Yoshida is directing the season at 8-Bit. Original character designer Kana Ishida is credited as the character designer, and Taku Iwasaki is returning to compose the music.
