Netflix has announced that the service will stream the second part of the Pokemon Journeys: The Series anime on September 11, 2020.
The first 12 episodes of the anime debuted in the United States on Netflix on June 12, 2020, and the service will continue to add new episodes quarterly. Pokemon Journeys: The Series also premiered on the Canadian television channel Teletoon on May 9, 2020, and the series will then debut on Télétoon in French later in 2020.
In this latest series in the Pokemon anime franchise, Ash Ketchum and Pikachu gain a new partner on their journeys with a young boy named Goh. Ash’s goal is to become a Pokemon Master, and Goh is aiming to catch every Pokemon (including the Mythical Mew). In the series, Ash and Goh travel through the Galar Region, as well as to previous locations that Ash has been to in his journeys. Pokemon Journeys ties in with the Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield video games.
Pokemon Journeys: The Series had delayed airing new episodes since April 2020 due to COVID-19, but has since resumed airing new episodes on June 7, 2020.
