Netflix Is Streaming the Mirai Anime Film in the United States

Netflix began streaming Mamoru Hosoda’s Mirai anime film in the United States on June 1, 2020. The film is available with both an English dub and subtitles.

Mirai opened at the Japanese box office in July 2018. GKIDS and Fathom Events began screening the film in 700 U.S. theaters in November 2018, and the film also screened in December 2018. GKIDS held its own theatrical release in the United States in November 2018, and those North American screenings earned US$672,652. GKIDS began screening the film again in February 2019.

    You know, I really didn’t care for this movie. Just too much unbridled resentment and misdirected anger was there. I think his Wolf Children gave a much more balanced and palatable portrayal of sibling relationships. . .
