Sentai Filmworks has announced that it has licensed Chihayafuru 3, the third season of the Chihayafuru anime, in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Scandinavia, Central America, and South America. The company will begin streaming the series soon and release it on home video in the future.

The season premiered on October 22, 2019, and Crunchyroll is simulcasting the series as it airs in Japan. Crunchyroll Expo hosted a premiere screening for the third season of Chihayafuru on August 31, 2019.
