The Promised Neverland Manga to Take a One Week Break

This year’s 52nd issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has announced that Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu’s The Promised Neverland manga will take a one week break next week. The manga will return in the second 2020 issue of the magazine, which ships on December 9, 2019. The manga previously took a break in the 48th issue so the authors could perform research.

Shirai and Demizu launched The Promised Neverland manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in August 2016, and the series has entered its final arc as of September 2018.

VIZ Media publishes the manga in North America.

  1. I love this manga so much! I’m behind a couple of volumes but I’m just too scared to run out of them haha. Do you have any idea how many volumes it might end up being?

      In an interview from August 2018, Kaiu Shirai stated that Shirai would like the story to “not extend too much” in accordance with the story’s editor, adding that the length of the manga should be “ideally 20 to 30 volumes long.”
