Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block has announced that the Fire Force anime will premiere on Toonami on July 27, 2019 at 12:00 a.m. EDT (effectively July 28, 2019).

The anime’s official website announced that the planned airing and streaming of the show’s third episode, which was planned to air late at night on July 20, 2019, has been halted. The website stated it will reveal more information about the future broadcast of the show at a later date. Jason DeMarco, senior vice-president and creative director for Adult Swim, said on Twitter, “we will deal with delays if and when we have to.”

FUNimation Entertainment is simulcasting the anime on its FunimationNOW streaming service, and is also streaming an English dub. Crunchyroll is also simulcasting the series.

Fire Force premiered on July 5, 2019, and it is planned to have 24 episodes.
