The official Twitter account for the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) television anime series has announced that production on a sequel has been green-lit for 2020.
The television anime of Taiki Kawakami’s manga, which in turn adapted author Fuse and artist Mitz Vah’s light novel series, premiered on October 1, 2018. Crunchyroll is streaming the series, and FUNimation Entertainment is streaming an English dub. The anime’s 23rd episode aired on March 11, 2019 as final episode for the main story. The show will then air two more episodes over the following two weeks. The 24th episode is titled “Kuro to Kamen” (Black and Mask), and is scheduled for March 18, 2019. The episode will be an anime original story showing an encounter between Shizu and Diablo. The extra 25th episode is titled “Veldora Nikki” (Veldora’s Diary), and will air on March 25, 2019.
Yasuhito Kikuchi is directing the anime at 8-Bit, with Atsushi Nakayama as assistant director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is in charge of series composition. Ryouma Ebata is adapting the character designs for animation. Takahiro Kishida is in charge of monster design. Elements Garden is composing the music.
