The official Facebook page for the A-Kon anime convention has announced that the convention’s new venue this year will be Fair Park in Dallas, Texas. Much of the venue is outside, but the staff noted that there is an air-conditioned indoor programming space with more than 350,000 square feet of floor space.
The convention staff announced in January 2019 that the convention was changing venues from Fort Worth to Dallas as part of the convention’s change in ownership. The convention dates also changed from June 6-9, 2019 to June 27-30, 2019.
