The official English Twitter account for the new television anime of Natsuki Takaya’s Fruits Basket manga has announced that Mikaela Krantz is voicing Momiji Sohma. She is replacing Kimberly Grant. She is the second voice actor to join the cast. It was previously reported that Tia Ballard is replacing Meredith McCoy as Kagura Sohma.
Returning cast members include Laura Bailey as Tohru Honda, Eric Vale as Yuki Sohma, Jerry Jewell as Kyo Sohma, and John Burgmeier as Shigure Sohma. Caitlin Glass is directing the dub.
FUNimation Entertainment will screen the first two episodes of the anime in theaters in the United States in March 2019, and tickets go on sale on February 22, 2019. The company will reveal the exact screening date later. The screenings will feature an “exclusive gift pack” and Japanese and English voice actor commentary.
The new Fruits Basket anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan in April 2019, and FUNimation will stream the series on FunimationNow. The company has also acquired the home video rights for the series.
