Manga Creator Ugeppa Passes Away

Takeshobo’s Web Comic Gamma website has announced that manga creator Ugeppa (U.G.E) passed away on October 23, 2018 due to acute heart failure. Ugeppa was 44 years old.

Web Comic Gamma has been serializing Ugeppa’s Hounds Tokushusei Hanzai Shitei Sōsa-bu manga, which adapts Makiya Natsume’s original novel. The website published the second chapter on September 30, 2018, and staff are discussing the future of the work with Ugeppa’s family and Natsume.

Ugeppa’s other works include 8.1 Yamada Yūsuke Gekijō, Macross Plus -Tac Name-, and Little Challenger Wake Up, Girls! -side I-1 club-.
