Manga artist Makoto Kubota has announced on Twitter that they plan to create a new work for their Tentai Senshi Sunred manga series. Kubota is working solo on the project, and is considering self-publishing. Kubota spoke to their editor at Square Enix to get permission, but the title will change slightly.
Kubota launched Tentai Senshi Sunred in 2005 and ended it in 2014. Square Enix published the series in 20 compiled volumes. The manga was nominated for the 15th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2011. The manga had a special chapter in October 2017.
