Sgt. Frog to Get New Manga Series to Mark Its 20th Anniversary

The November 2018 issue of Kadokawa’s Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine has announced that Yūtarō Shido will launch a manga titled Chō Keroro Gunsō UC: Keroro Robo Daikessen (Super Sgt. Frog Ultra Cool: Keroro Robo’s Epic Climactic Battle) in the next issue on October 26, 2018. Mine Yoshizaki is credited with the original work, and Bandai Spirits is credited with collaboration. The manga commemorates the 20th anniversary of Mine Yoshizaki’s Sgt. Frog manga in 2019.

The story of the manga is described as:

Sgt. Keroro, commanding officer of Planet Keron’s invasion force, has a problem. After blowing his cover and losing his top-secret weapon, the frog-like alien has been cut off from the home world. To make matters worse, he’s lost communications with the rest of his platoon. Now he has taken cover in the Hinata family household, where in exchange for doing his share of the chores, he gets his own room from which to secretly devise new plans of world domination.

The original manga is ongoing in Monthly Shōnen Ace. Tokyopop originally published Sgt. Frog in English, and VIZ Media has published 20 volumes of the manga digitally.
