Manga Creator Yasuyuki Kunitomo Passes Away

The Comic Natalie news website has reported that manga creator Yasuyuki Kunitomo passed away on September 20, 2018. He was 65 years old at the time of his passing.

Kunitomo is known for the 100-oku no Otoko (10 Billion Men) manga, which inspired a live-action TV series adaptation in 1995. Kunitomo also wrote the Shiawase no Jikan, Shin Shiawase no Jikan, and Junk Boy manga. Junk Boy inspired an OVA in 1987.

Kunitomo was publishing the Ai ni Check-in manga in Shogakukan’s Weekly Post magazine, but it had been on hiatus.
