Showtaro Morikubo Leaves VIMS Agency and Founds New Talent Agency

Voice actor and singer Showtaro Morikubo announced on August 31, 2018 that he has resigned from the talent management agency VIMS and founded the talent management agency “Add 9th” on September 1, 2018.

Morikubo stated that he has been with VIMS for 17 years, and he is grateful to the company for what he learned in his time there, but that he wanted to start again with a new agency, and that he is exiting from VIMS without dissatisfaction or complaint.

His anime voice roles include Naruto‘s Shikamaru Nara, Hakuōki‘s Sōji Okita, Cardfight!! Vanguard‘s Taishi Miwa, Persona 4 The Animation‘s Yōsuke Hanamura, One Piece‘s Bartolomeo, Love Stage!!‘s Kojirō, and Yowamushi Pedal‘s Yūsuke Makishima.

He also sang theme songs for The Prince of Tennis, Utano☆Princesama Revolutions, STARMYU, and Yowamushi Pedal.
