This year’s 38th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump has announced that Hideaki Sorachi’s Gintama manga will end in five more chapters. If there are no delays, the manga will end on September 15, 2018.
Sorachi began Gintama in 2004 and it continues to be ranked among the top-selling manga in Japan. The manga has more than 55 million copies in print in Japan. VIZ Media published the first 23 volumes in English. Shueisha published the manga’s 74th volume on August 3, 2018.
